As previously reportedly, reality show stars Todd and Julie Chrisley have been charged with bank and tax fraud. And sentencing isn’t anticipated until the Fall. However, as they’re awaiting their trial date; more secrets it seems, are coming out the closet; including Todd’s gay love affair with his former assistant at Chrisley Asset Management; Mark Braddock.
The fraud case has been the catalyst to the actor’s exposure to the public; since not only his former employee/lover was called to the stand; but numerous others were called to testify against the Chrisley’s as well. Nonetheless, Todd Chrisley denies the rumors; but says he’s flattered that people give him so much credit. Well, apparently he considers a rumor about a two-decade affair on his wife is…well…’flattering’. Even still; he denies the claims.
Regardless, Mark, 57, testified in late May against his former supervisor inside an Atlanta courtroom. He further claims that after the one-year tryst came to a halt, the breakup didn’t stop them from remaining friends until he got fired in 2012.
When Did The Affair Start
The affair allegedly started in early 2000’s and lasted a year. Braddock revealed to the court that it was his first gay experience. But the real opprobrium is that both men were married. Mark’s been married to Leslie Braddock for 34 years.
Undoubtedly, there were a lengthy list of charges that had been tied to them after Braddock worked with the FBI to explain how the two Chrisley Knows Best stars had filed loans under false pretense; and even used new loans to pay off old loans.
It was mentioned in court that Todd; with some help from a business partner, had worked out a way to make it look like he had a bank account with $4 million in it when no such account existed. The Chrisley’s also owed money to to the government in back taxes and more. Finally, after being found guilty on the charges; it was learned that both Todd and Julie Chrisley could face up to 30 years in prison; though we won’t learn more on that front until October 6. Moreover, The Chrisley’s lawyer has projected an appeal on the case.
