Born Anna Mae Bullock, Tina Turner passes away inside her Switzerland home on Wednesday, May 24. The Proud Mary hitmaker had been battling an illness for a long time, according to reports. Born in Nutbush Tennessee, Tina Turner became a solo artist in the late 70’s after splitting from her abusive band mate and husband, Ike Turner.
