Records show that covid positive results in kids’ hospitalization rate has skyrocketed since mid December to more than 4 in 100,000.
As of January 26, over 15.3 million children are reported to have tested positive for COVID-19 since the onset of the pandemic according to available state reports. About 127,000 of these cases have been added in the past 4 weeks. This week almost 37,000 child COVID-19 cases were reported. Over the past 4 months, weekly reported child cases have plateaued at an average of about 32,000 cases according to a state level data report.
