I mean, after all Beyoncé is…‘That girl’. So we’re not surprised that she’s raking in the dough for her first performance since the drop of her highly anticipated summer album entitled “Renaissance.” Except this performance is not up the road from the house, she’s going to be in Dubai performing for the Atlantis grand opening. Several A-list celebrities are expected to be in the place. Fans in Dubai over heard her sound check apparently amid rehearsal for the huge event.
The Beyhive is almost holding their breath, but the “Heated” hitmaker has not yet announced a tour behind the album. However, this weekend several journalists and celebrities might be the first to see the singer perform live for the first time since a Kobe and Gianna Bryant tribute back in 2020.
Beyonce is Footin the Bill For a Litty Weekend in Dubai
Per an invitation that many publications (including Pitchfork) received from the musician’s team; the “Church Girl” hitmaker is hosting an all-expenses-paid luxury weekend in Dubai, taking place January 20 to 22. The invite is for the unofficial opening of Atlantis the Royal hotel, and begins as follows:
“Beyoncé invites you to a weekend where your dreams become your destination. You and a guest are invited for epicurean feasts, beachside indulgences, and special reveal experiences including business class airfare, first-class ground transportation, and first-class accommodations at Atlantis the Royal.”
A “once in a lifetime performance” is mentioned, too, but no artist names are attached to it.
Beyonce Has’nt Seen A Stage in Dubai Since 2009
Believe it or not, Bey isn’t the only pop artist to hit Dubai’s stage. Many pop stars, including Blur, the Killers, not to mention her husband, Jay-Z, have played in the United Arab Emirates since she last performed in the capital, Abu Dhabi, in 2009.
This weekend’s Dubai performance was sparsely reported. The UK tabloid The Sun reported in December that Beyoncé was planning an hourlong performance in Dubai’s luxury resort Atlantis the Royal. On top of that, a source told The Sun that Swedish House Mafia would DJ at an afterparty; which is also confirmed by the invitation.
Fans Started Investigating Earlier This Month
Fans had been curious since the jump. It all started when Beyonce’s stylists, KJ Moody put out tweets on Friday, Jan 13.
Despite the tweet being elusive about a “16 hour flight”, but Vance Gamble literally tweeted “Dubai Bound.” It wasn’t long before the math started mathing and fans realized Beyonce was already headed to Dubai.
But, both the tweets have now been deleted so oop-
