Justice for George Floyd is still not complete, but we’re getting there, I suppose. Former cop and murder accomplice J. Alexander Kueng was sentenced Friday to a 3.5-year jail sentence. He had been awaiting his judgement in an Ohio prison. Moreover, assistant Attorney General Matthew Frank described Floyd as a “crime victim.” He said Kueng, who “swore an oath to protect life” as a police officer; “didn’t follow” the oath the day Floyd died.

Undoubtedly George Floyd was killed in 2020 by three cops as two stood and watched one f them [Derek Chauvin] press his knee on Floyd’s neck for 9 minutes until he died.
Moreover, Kueng, 29, had pleaded guilty to one count of aiding and abetting in second-degree manslaughter in October as part of an agreement with prosecutors. It should be noted a second charge of aiding and abetting in second-degree unintentional murder will be dismissed against Kueng as part of his plea agreement.
Tou Thao, 34, the other accomplice in George Floyd’s murder does not want a jury to render a verdict, a court spokesperson said. Regardless, Thao, instead, wants Judge Peter Cahill to hand down his sentence. Both he and Kueng reported to court this past Tuesday.

Hennepin County Judge Peter Cahill issued an order Monday mandating the sheriff’s office provide the men with three sets of clothing for the trial — as well as for two hearings scheduled for later this week. It may be safe to assume that both men will be in local custody.
The Public Has Shunned the Officers
It actually may do Kueng some good to be “away” for a while. If you recall, the former officer posted a $75K bail almost immediately when he was first arrested. He went shopping shortly after and an angry shopper approached him and taunted him so bad he left the store.
