A police officer,34, who was fired from the force in June due to drug possession; decided to burst into a daycare Thursday in Thailand, killing about 36 people. Unfortunately, he’s killed dozens of children and teachers as he shot even more on his way out of the daycare facility. He then went home and murders his wife and children before killing himself.
Photos taken by first responders showed the nursery’s floor littered with the tiny bodies of children still on their blankets, where they had been taking an afternoon nap. Moreover, the images showed slashes to their faces and gunshots to their heads and pools of blood. On top of that, according to BBC News, the former officer stabbed most of the victims before shooting them and fleeing the scene.
“After inspecting the crime scene, we found that the perpetrator tried to break in and he mainly used a knife to commit the crime by killing a number of small children,” said Police Chief Damrongsak Kittiprapat.

“The shooter came in around lunchtime and shot four or five officials at the childcare centre first,” a local official, Jidapa Boonsom, who was working nearby, told Reuters news agency. One of them was a teacher who was eight months pregnant,”
“At first people thought it was fireworks,” she said, adding that the man then forced entry to a locked room where children were sleeping.
According to BBC News, Ms. Panchum, one of the headteachers at the facility said that the attacker’s son actually attended the daycare before. She also stated there were usually more than 90 children at the school, but just over 20 were present on Thursday due to bad weather and a school bus breakdown.
