The Boston Celtics have officially suspended head coach Ime Udoka for the 2022-23 season.

There were reports that surfaced early Thursday about the possibility of a suspension due to alleged misconduct from the team. It later came out that he was reportedly having a consensual relationship with a female staff member in the Celtics organization.

The Boston Celtics Confirmed The Allegations On Social Media Thursday Night:

“The Boston Celtics announced today that the team has suspended Head Coach Ime Udoka for the 2022-23 season for violations of team policies. A decision about his future with the Celtics beyond this season will be made at a later date. The suspension takes effect immediately.”

The team announced that the decision about Udoka’s future with the Celtics would come later on down the line.

Udoka did issue an apology:

“I want to apologize to our players, fans, the entire Celtics organization, and my family for letting them down.” He continued, “I am sorry for putting the team in this difficult situation, and I accept the team’s decision. Out of respect for everyone involved, I will have no further comment.”

Just last week though, the Love Jones actress posted a video from her husband’s healing and wellness-based account. She spoke about finding light after dealing with darkness.
