A child has been charged in the murder of Kassandra Sweeney, 25; and her two sons. The woman’s sons are 4-year-old Benjamin and 1-year-old son Mason. The murders are believed to be calculated, and not at random; as investigation continues.
Nonetheless, the family was found dead in their home in Northfield on August 3, CBS Boston reported. According to authorities, the sudden deaths of Sweeney and her sons has left her husband ‘devastated.’
“He is obviously beyond devastated as a result of these crimes” Geoffrey Ward, senior assistant to New Hampshire attorney general and chief of the officer’s Criminal Justice Bureau said at a press conference Friday.
Autopsies showed each person died from a single gunshot wound. Additionally the medical examiner ruled all three deaths as homicides.
Due to the age of the suspect, authorities will not release the child’s name.
