Women Are Encouraging No Sex With Men Until Abortion Law Changes

Women Are Pushing Back On Overturned Roe v Wade Law

In the height of the overturned Roe v Wade law that prohibits abortions now in various states; the pushback from women on a global level is to go on a ‘strike’ so to speak. The objective is to withhold sex from men until the new abortion law is overturned. According to Daily Mail, ‘protests erupted on Friday following the court’s ruling to overturn women’s federal right to abortions; with 26 states expected to further restrict or outright ban abortions.’

But This Wouldn’t Be The First Woman Strike

Back in 2015, in Iceland women were prompted to not do house chores and refusing to work for a day in hopes of shedding light on better equality within the country.

t is known in Iceland as the Women’s Day Off, and Vigdis sees it as a watershed moment.

“What happened that day was the first step for women’s emancipation in Iceland,” Vigdis Finnbogadottir, [a divorced single mother, had won Iceland’s presidency in 1980] says. “It completely paralyzed the country and opened the eyes of many men.”

Nevertheless, more recently, on Friday in NYC, many women marched that held signs that read ‘No sex until we have abortion rights.’
