Around 10:15 p.m. on Tuesday night an 11 year old little girl, also a Tik Toker; was killed while sleeping at her Grandma’s house in Detroit, Michigan. Sadly, the child whose name is Saniyah Pugh was murdered in her sleep during a slumber party of sorts. However, it was reported that no one except the child was shot that night on June 4.

When police and other emergency workers arrived, Saniyah Pugh; was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting.
Five other children who were having a sleepover, as well as two adults, were also inside the home on the 20200 block of Goulburn Avenue; just south of 8 Mile, police said.
“My children and grandchildren are scarred… they are totally scarred from this; because all of them had to see this and experience this. Something that I wouldn’t want my worst enemy to even experience,” Lawanda Melton said; who is Saniyah’s grandmother.
Detroit Police Chief told reporters “Making TikTok videos and laughing one minute; and being shot in the back…the next.” Currently, two suspects [one adult and one minor] have been arrested and taken into custody.

“Our deepest condolences go out to the victim’s family and friends at this unimaginable time,” said DPD. Saniyah was a middle schooler, a gymnast and cheerleader, and was getting ready to celebrate her 12th birthday at the end of the month.
