The feud continues between comedian colleagues DL Hughley and Precious actress, Mo’ Nique Hicks. Since the comedy show in Detroit where Mo’Nique gave a harsh tongue lashing to DL Hughley on stage; after she accused him of tampering with the contract for who would headline the comedy show that took place on May 28 during Memorial Day weekend.
While onstage during the rant, Mo’Nique dug her claws deep into DL Hughley. But not just him. She mentioned his wife; saying that she was ‘sucking a cowards d**k’. After much controversy on the matter from fans, Mo and her dual-manager and husband explained to fans where the real anger derived from.
Mo’Nique Explains The Deep Rooted Anger Towards DL Hughley
The pair claimed that when she was a guest on the DL Hughley radio show; she felt totally disrespected after being asked to play a ‘Would You Rather’ type- game that she regretfully agreed to play. Amid said game; she was asked “Would you want your husband to have unprotected sex with Lee Daniels or protected sex with Karrine ‘ Superhead’ Steffens.
To add insult to injury, The Parkers actress claims that the Def Comedy Jam star called her all kinds of names during various interviews and online. Therefore she felt it was time to unleash her own thoughts and wrath on the comedian and actor. In the midst of the mud slinging; Mo’Nique brought up a 2015 interview with Sway in the Morning when he regretfully admitted to not protecting his own daughter when she told her dad that a close family friend molested her.
When the public began to condemn Mo’Nique for bringing up his daughter’s isolated sexual trauma; she and her husband Sydney took to Instagram yet again to defend their honor.
Yep, Mo’Nique pulled out the big guns. At this point, all gloves are off. And DL’s oldest daughter took the bait to drag Mo’Nique; offering her to come to ‘pull up’ basically at the end of the rant.

“You’ve now publicly disrespected my mother; and my baby sister; who I love and care for very much to get back at my father; who I love, respect; and care for very much,” Shepard wrote. “Out of all things you could have legitimately said about my dad; if that’s the route you wanted to take; you chose to be deliberately mean and hurtful to two black women; who have another to do with this conversation. ” She continued, “Using my mama and my sister to show people my father’s character only shows how little mental stability, dignity, morality and respect you have not only for yourself but other black women. You’re clearly two crayons short of the full box sis. You’re disgusting and you absolutely need to keep every single member of MY family’s name out of your poisonous mouth.” At the end of her caption, she extended an invitation, writing, “Oh, and if you want to have this conversation in person; I’ll happily give you my address 🥰”
