Brace yourself! This one is a bit of a ‘tummy turner’. An autopsy released on Monday revealed that Brian Laundrie’s remains were surrounding his bookbag filled with his belongings.
According to Daily Mail, Brian Laundrie’s “personal belongings were surrounded by apparent skeletal human remains that were scattered on top of the dirt ground,” the news outlet revealed.
Brian Laundrie Admitted To Killing Gabby Petito
Recall, that Laundrie was engaged to Gabby Petito; with whom he cross country traveled with; and admitted to killing her by beating and strangling her in August 2021; after sending the cops on a goose hunt looking for her for two weeks. Thereafter; he shot himself in the head; after being on the run for six weeks. Meanwhile his body was found in a Florida swamp; according to the autopsy. Key evidence of his admission was found in a notebook; inside the bookbag near his remains in the Florida park; and also via some text messages sent to Petito. Although the FBI did’nt specify what Laundrie actually wrote in the journal; nor the specifics of the texts, a statement was made:
“The timing and content of these messages are indicative of Mr. Laundrie attempting to deceive law enforcement by giving the impression that Ms. Petito was still alive,” the statement said.
During the investigation; they also found a pair of green shorts; slip-on shoes, a backpack; a hat with a “MOAB Coffee Roasters” logo; and skeletal animal remains.

Nevertheless, the 47-page medical document reveal that Laundrie’s body was found on October 20; scavenged by wild animals at Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park; whereas authorities had conducted an exhaustive search for the 23-year-old fugitive. Furthermore stating that the absconder’s corpse was subjected to: “moderately extensive carnivore activity; evidenced by multiple gouging and gnawing marks”.
Subsequently, dozens of human bones were recovered; according to PEOPLE. The report also indicates that a single bullet entered the left side of Laundrie’s head; and that many of the human bones recovered had signs of “animal predation”, according to Washington Examiner.
At the end of the day; there’s a saying that says, “You get it how you live it.” For example; if you live your life doing people dirty, the same will be returned to you. What an awful way to leave the world.
