Dr. Dre and his (now) ex-wife [Nicole Young] are no strangers to the courtroom, as they’ve dragged one another in and out of it over the past two years. Young sued her estranged husband for $1 billion dollars.
But he’s finally free from it all, well most it anyway, as his divorce finally became final. After 25 years of marriage and now a bachelor, he decided it was something he wanted to celebrate.
On Thursday, Dre’s friend Breyon Prescott shared a photo of the music mogul in front of huge silver balloons spelling out ‘Divorced AF.” Dre is seen with a huge smile on his face as he spread his arms out to emphasize the message.
Hey Well My Brother @drdre Just Told Me It’s Final !!! Congrats (champagne bottle emoji) Still Dre (goat and flexed bicep emojis),’ Prescott captioned the photo.
The celebratory evening comes after months of court battles, lawsuits and domestic abuse allegations between Dr. Dre and Nicole. Back in November; the “The Chronic” star revealed that he in fact didn’t know the woman he married, sharing in a deposition:
“There were never any domestic violence claims made by Nicole before or during our marriage; formal or informal. At no time were the police ever called during our marriage. I was present for Nicole’s deposition. She testified that there are no witnesses to the alleged abuse; and she admitted that she never told anyone; including her mother or siblings; or other family or friends about any alleged abuse.”
