Lord knows life for Keyshia Cole’s hasn’t been ‘no crystal stair’. She’s had drama with her brother that was aired out on social media. Her mom recently passed away, who battled drug addiction. But who knew that she was owed money from the record label she was signed to. She revealed that info back in October when Meek Mill took to his Twitter with the same complaint.
“I haven’t get paid from music and I don’t know how much money labels make off me!!!!!” he wrote. “I need lawyers asap!!!”Twitter
Above all, it’s no secret that lots of artists share similar complaints about record labels playing money games; and talking circles around their paychecks. If it’s not this, it’s that-type ish.
The ‘Expensive Pain’ music mogul continued to vent, “ask the record label? how much have you spent on me as a artist? then you ask how much have you made off me as a artist? i’m about to make my record deal public by monday just to let the world see what these people on!!!” He followed up with a second message claiming, “i haven’t get paid from music and i don’t know how much money labels make off me!!!!! i need lawyers asap!!!”Twitter
Nonetheless, the award winning Philadelphia rapper even went as far as to threaten to reveal the record label, if he didn’t get any response. And so far, it looks like he hasn’t gotten one. Plus, he wasn’t clear on which label he was referring to; but hopefully it’s all sorted out. Because, we dont need any problems.
“Ima war for everything that’s mines alll ruthless vibes!” he wrote. I mean..hey, even so, who can be mad about wanting what’s owed to them.
