Veteran music executive Clarence Avant AKA ‘The Godfather’ is mourning the loss of his beautiful wife who was shot and killed Tuesday night.

He was home with his wife Tuesday night when his Trousdale Estate home was invaded; known primarily as an opulent Beverly Hills neighborhood. Once the intruders broke into the home, the suspect opened fire on his wife Jacqueline. Law enforcement told TMZ that the Beverly Hills Police Department received a call at 2:30 a.m. reporting a home a shooting and home invasion to dispatch; Subsequently by the time they arrived, Jackie was already in route to a nearby hospital where she passed away.

The lovely Clarence and Jacky tied the knot in 1967, and although she’s primarily kept a low profile; she’s been his greatest motivation every step of the way. They both share two grown children, Nicole and Alexander Avant. A suspect has been arrested.

Moreover, there was a Netflix documentary called The Black Godfather, highlighting his musical accomplishments. The project launched in 2019. Pharell gave big praise for his influence and credits Avant for a big part of his success. Thoughts and prayers are with the Avant family at this time.
