Torey Lanez still isn’t in the clear for the alleged shooting of Meg Thee Stallion last summer. The internet was shook when pics of the Texas rapper’s foot went viral. It was awful. The pics were very graphic, showing a pretty much dismantled foot, with holes in it. But through it all, she pretty much stayed on the hush. She never tried to throw dirt on his name, even after the fiasco. Then, it seemed as though Lanez had gotten off scotch free, until a prosecutor pressed charges.
The ‘Stupid Again’ Canadian rapper is due to give live testimony next month for the alleged shooting. However, his defense lawyer Shawn Holley ageed on Wednesday to return her client on Dec. 14 for his preliminary hearing. In order for the crime to go to trial, the prerequisite for that to take place is the testimony from Lanez.
Authorities say Lanez, real name Daystar Peterson, pulled the trigger of his automatic gun, aiming at Meg’s foot, ultimately shooting her, around 4:30 a.m. on July 12, 2020. The incident happened right after the pair left a Hollywood Hills party, when they got into an argument in an SUV.
Other Charges For Torey Lanez
His two pending felony charges are assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. He’s also facing the added allegation he “personally inflicted great bodily injury”. Facing up to 22 years and eight months if convicted, according to prosecutors.
