It’s nice to see artists expand their horizons. Eminem has a not so new restaurant. He actually started popping up in 2017 to promote an album. Trending on the interwebs, Eminem’s new carry out spot is said to be a place people want to keep coming to. But how does the food taste? It’s located in the heart of downtown on Woodard. In the midst of the hustle and bustle you can find ‘Moms Spaghetti’ sitting between sports stadiums and theaters.
Opening day was Wednesday and folks were lined up for the anticipated goodies. According to Detroit News, fans started lining up on opening day at 10am, seven hours before the announced opening time.
At around 4 p.m., an hour before opening, the first dozen or so fans were called over to the serving window, in the alley between the newly opened Union Assembly and the Fillmore Detroit, where they were served up helpings of Mom’s Spaghetti by Slim Shady himself.
Folks are buzzing that they give nice sized portions of food. The restaurant menu is simple with just three items. There’s a plate of Mom’s Spaghetti for $9 or $12 if you add meatballs. The Sghetti Sandwich is $11. Beverages are $3.
Starting off as a pasta pop-up in 2017, Mom’s Spaghetti has upgraded to a walk up carry out. It was part of Eminem’s release of “Revival.” Subsequently, Union Joints also worked on that Mom’s Spaghetti project, according to the news release.
