It’s been a tough year for the King of R & B. First he loses Bobbi Kristina, then he loses his son. Bobby Brown has five children altogether. His name sake, BB Jr., was found unresponsive in his Los Angeles home by his girlfriend in November. At the time, LA police spokesman Jeff Lee told CNN that LAPD responded to a medical emergency call on the 18th of Nov., at 1:50 p.m. Initially, the officers saw no red flags, claiming no suspicion of “foul play”.
Not much later, the coroners report revealed there was fentanyl and excessive alcohol in his system.
Contrarily, in a statement provided to People magazine, Brown and Ward claim that their 28 year old son was not into drugs. Blaming others around him, his parents don’t want to accept the facts. Nonetheless, they blamed others for giving him the drugs that was found in his system. Brown and Ward’s attorney Christopher Brown also alleges that Brown, Jr. may have taken the fentanyl “without his knowledge and that his parents “believe it killed him”.
“Bobby was often easily influenced. This is a situation where he associated himself with the wrong people. My son is gone and those who contributed to his senseless death should be accountable”, Ward said.
She continued, “My family continues to mourn my son’s death . Street fentanyl has take the life of so many people unnecessarily and Bobby Jr. is another victim . This epidemic is out of control and those supplying this lethal drug should be held responsible for the death and destruction that it causes”.
According to TMZ, the family said he hadn’t been feeling well leading up to the days of his death, with flu like symptoms. TMZ reported that sources revealed he did not have COVID.
