Tisha Campbell Talks About A Martin Reunion
After five seasons of the hilarious sitcom aired, beginning from August 1992 until 997, there was some hidden drama revealed after the show cancelled. The reason why season 6 didn’t materialize is because, believe it or not, Martin and Tisha didn’t share that spark any longer. Tisha accused Martin of subjecting her to unwanted sexual advances, which worsened after she became engaged to Duane Martin. She accused her long time friend and acting buddy of groping her during sex scenes, so much so that she allegedly asked the writing team to stop writing those scenes.
Martin Lawrence Was Producer Of The Show
So, Tisha couldn’t really go too far with her complaints about Martin’s ‘happy hands’ if she wanted to keep her job. In addition to the unwanted advances from her boss, she claims that he was verbally abusive to cast on set, threatening to have them fired, etc. This would lead Campbell to file a sexual harrasment against Martin, resulting in her mostly losing her job. However, the lawsuit did settle and Campbell returned for Martin’s final episodes, with an ultimatum of no sex scenes. They were able to get through that, and Martin decided to expand his acting career, going on to play in iconic films such as Blue Streak, Bad Boys For Life, Life, Welcome Home Roscoe and a plethora of others. So at the end of day, it’s amazing to see them all together again, no resentments or indignation, just Martin, Pam and Gina.
