Netflix announced on Monday that they were hosting a new documentary with none other than Our Forever First Lady, Michelle Obama.It streams on Wednesday, May 6th. The title of the documentary is the same as her 2018 memoir, Becoming. The storyline is set to cover some of Michelle Obama’s family life, and some of her encounters she experienced on her 34 city book tour, according to The Hollywood Reporter.After her and her husband, Barack Obama sighed a multiyear agreement with Netflix in May 2018 to create “a diverse mix of content”, including the potential for both scripted and unscripted series, docuseries, documentaries, and features from their production company, Higher Ground Productions.
They also signed a deal with Spotify to produce exclusive podcasts for the platform this past June of 2019.”Those months I spent travelling-meeting and connecting with people in cities across the globe-drove home the idea that what we share in common is deep and real and can’t be messed with,” she said in a statement.”In groups large and small, young and old, unique and united, we came together and shared stories, filling those spaces with our joys, worries, and dreams.
