Now ain’t that about a bih! President Donald Trump has accepted Pelosi’s invitation to deliver the State of the Union address on February 4,2020.
“In the spirit of respecting our Constitution, I invite you to deliver your State of the Union address before a joint session of Congress on Tuesday, February 4,2020 in the Chamber of the U.S. House of Representatives”, Pelosi wrote in a letter addressed to the President that was dated for Friday.
What’s crazy is that this invite comes only days after the House of Representatives took the historic step of voting for Trump’s impeachment. Now that the House has voted to impeach, the next step will be for the Senate to hold a trial to decide whether to remove the President from office. It’s not yet clear exactly when that will start, but it is expected to begin early next year.
