Serena Williams has teamed up with Bumble to invest in women of color who are starting their own businesses.
According to Black Enterprise, Serena recently joined with Whitney Wolfe Herd, founder of online dating app Bumble to launch this powerful, philanthropic enterprise.
According to Small Business Association, approximately 500,000 new Business are started each year in the U.S.
Black women owned businesses skyrocketed to 164 percent in the decade leading into 2018.
“Wer’e working to build a bigger, more equitable table”, Williams wrote on Instagram Friday. She continued,”If you’re a woman of color, apply through the app”.
Applications will be accepted through March 27.
